3. Picnic Site:

In view of absence of Inspector Hall and PCSO Michael Courtney-Hunt it was agreed that a request would be made for them to attend our next meeting on the 12th September for us to understand exactly why they do not want the site re-opened.  It was felt that the content of the email from Inspector Hall was not very clear.  It was also proposed that we contact The Police & Crime Commissioner at some stage.

16/01247/ADV – Display 1 internally illuminated totem sign and relocation of 1 wooden internally illuminated signage post at ArcHaus Peterborough Road Wansford Peterborough PE8 6JL – Cllrs comments collated via email after meeting.  No objections raised.


16/01482/TRE  – Crown lift branches of Copper Beech tree by 3m – TPO 14/00006 at Carradale, 21 Old North Road, Wansford PE8 6LB – plan needs to be more precise, would be guided by Tree Officer’s recommendations.


16/01497/FUL – New storage building (Class B8) with hard standing, car parking and portakabins (resubmission of 15/01814/FUL) at Site 32 Oil Depot, Wansford Road, Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire – plan does not give sufficient detail and is misleading.  Before Parish Council can comment would like sight of Traffic analysis, Noise analysis, Risk Assessment for Hyrdo Carbide storage, Analysis of safe practices with regard to surface water and drainage.

5. The Council of the City of Peterborough (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Amendment No. 27 Order 2016:

The Parish Council agree with the proposed order provided work is done in right sequence.


Peter Tebb to be contacted to ascertain if he has spoken with anyone from NCC re the above.

6. Minutes of the meeting held on 11th July 2016: 

All Cllrs agreed that the above minutes were a true and accurate record and that Minutes should be signed.

7. Matters arising from the Minutes: None.  
8. Finance:

Wendy Gray – Salary July 2016 – £233.33

The above payment was approved.

9. WI Centenary Donation:

The quotations process is still ongoing.

10. Speed Signs:

At a recent meeting at the Old Pump House Junction, Peter Tebb of PCC said that he was trying to aggregate a number of applications from various villages to streamline the process and reduce costs. Cllr Clarke to follow up and find out if we have to do anything further.

11. Christie Hall:

Nothing further on setting up a meeting, no further progress on lease, nothing reported on grant for re-roofing.  Cllr Clarke reported grant period has been extended by Grantscape.

14. Reports from Councillors:

Cllr Thorley reported on outcome of a very lengthy Parish Council Liaison meeting highlighting in particular:

·       Code of Conduct

·       Devolution and what it all means – Parish Clerk to send link to all Cllrs for them to complete questionnaire.

·       Role and Training for Councillors – agenda item for next meeting.


Cllr Garner reported that a tree next to the wall at Thornhaugh Burial Ground has to be removed to prevent further damage to the wall, permission is being sought to take tree down to resolve problem, some of the wall will have to be rebuilt.
