We don’t want a play area there – main contention
It will encourage older children and potential vandalism
Who will use it
There were supporters for the Play Area present who thought it would enhance the village.
Cllr Stannage proposed that we move the process on a stage further, seconded by Cllr Pearson, all other Cllrs in agreement.
It was agreed that we would arrange to hold an “open forum” from 10 am to 12 noon on the 8th December in the Community Hall where we would have to hand a design of how the play area would look. We would need to advertise in Living Villages, complete a leaflet drop to all in the village inviting them along particularly residents in Nene Close to discuss and view designs. Some members of the Parish Council would need to be in attendance. Cllr Sortwell will prepare item for November edition of Living Villages advertising open forum.
