MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE WANSFORD COMMUNITY HALL ON MONDAY 14TH MARCH 2016

AT 7.30 P.M.

3. Planning:

16/00073/LBC – Install two roof lights to rear pantile roofs and expose leaded light window sealed behind stonework on internal wall to assess practicality to repair and conserve at Meadow Cottage, 4 Bridge End, Wansford PE8 6JH – no objections raised.

 

16/00188/LDE – Use of land as part of residential cartilage to dwellinghouse (resubmission of 15/01452/LDE) at land adjacent Spring House, Wansford Road, Yarwell PE8 6PN – no objections raised.

 

16/00269/CTR – Fell trees T1-5 at 3 Yarwell Road, Wansford PE8 6JP – no objections raised.

 

16/00308/CTR  – Remove overhanging branches from trees and shrubs Site at Church Cottage, 1 Yarwell Road, Wansford, Peterborough PE8 6JP – no objections raised.

 

16/00418/CTR – Cotoneaster – Reduce to create 1.5 to 2m clearance from garage, crown lift to height of the bottom of 2nd storey windows, reduce crown by 1.5m removing extended branches that stick out at the crown (not full crown reduction), remove vertical sucker growth from crown, no bigger than 25mm in diameter at Holystones, 2 Yarwell Road, Wansford – no objections raised.

4. Minutes of the meeting held on 8th February 2016: 

Cllr Stannage proposed, Cllr Johnson seconded and it was agreed that the above minutes were a true and accurate record and that Minutes should be signed.

 
5. Matters arising from the Minutes:

Acknowledge response from PC re 15/02014/FUL and suggest (PCC/ENC/NCC need to communicate with each other).

Christie Hall – next meeting is on 6th April, Cllr Stannage will attend.

Parish Clerk – salary (February 2016) – £216.66

Parish Clerk Expenses – £113.42

Living Villages Magazine – £120.00

Community Hall Honorarium – £100.00

Algar Signcraft Services, No Cold Calling Signs – £672.00

GVA Christie Hall Rent contribution – £863.34

 

The above invoices were approved for payment.

 
7. WI Centenary Donation:

Cllr Stannage found builder outside of area (Ford Builders of Stamford) and will ask them to put in a quote for the handrail etc.  Will continue to look at obtaining a further couple of quotes.

8. Toddlers Play Area: 

Confirmation of Official Opening – date of Saturday 26th March at 2.00 p.m. advertised.  Nene Valley Tots will arrange for press i.e. Stamford Mercury/Peterborough Paper to be invited along, Cllr Stannage will check that this has been done.  Nene Valley Tots/Cllr Stannage to cut (yellow) tape.  Made front page of magazine and further information inside.

9. Village Notice Board:

Map is o.k. – working on frame/legs etc.  Understand may be ready for installation just after Easter.

 
10. Neigbourhood Watch/No Cold Calling Signage:

20 Signs have been obtained (5 spare) if one is put on Bridge End will leave 4 spare.  Cllr Stannage will leave signs outside of garage for cllrs to pick up at weekend.

 
11. Community Infrastructure Levy:  

Email received from PCC with information which has been circulated to all cllrs.

Highways England re A47 Road Investment Startegy Corridor Improvements.

 

 

13. Matters for Consideration:

Belisha Beacon – reported damaged, in process of being fixed.

 

Sign on A47 knocked over again, no boards indicating turning.

 

Street Light No. 23 outside Church Cottage – not working.

 

Yarwell Road, mud on pathway, can litter pickers clear?

 
14. Reports from Councillors:

Parish Liaison Meeting (will be discussing budget) – Cllr Thorley advised will be able to attend and report back to meeting.

 

Received update on Toilet Block – fencing has been put round but toilet block not yet open.
